There was a seaside, ground floor, country residence, on the north side of Aegina, built in 1968 from reinforced concrete, without any shear walls.
In 2010, the owner asked for an extension at the ground floor level and for the accretion of a new first floor, along with an overall reconstruction and anti-seismic strengthening, according to the current regulations and standards.
Interventions were carried out with conventional reinforced concrete constructions, with the addition of adequate shear walls and their suitable foundations.
The new architectural solution was followed without alterations.
