Residences complex in Algeria, with basement, ground floor and 5 more storeys. On the ground floor there are shops and on the other storeys there are residencies. The basement accommodates car parking spaces.
The architectural design was made by the architects Kokkinou – Kourkoula and creates an image fully harmonized with the specific urban environment.
The peculiarity of the structure is that it provides shading to all the semi-open spaces on the facades of the apartments.
At the same time, it enables the structural designer to design shear walls that are continuous in height, relatively long and to create a fully earthquake resistant structure. The walls assume all the horizontal forces so that the columns and beams do not suffer under seismic action.
The fact that the bearing body of the structure is fully integrated into the architectural solution, sets off the virtues and the aesthetics of the architectural design and ensure its functional character. The construction of the complex has not yet been realized.
